Detailed Description

This study captured online survey responses from 321 Federal Defense and Civilian Agency personnel and 167 Government Contractors, as well as five in-depth interviews with government contractor senior executives. Secondary research into social media trends and federal government social media policies was also incorporated into the overall study. This research serves as an excellent benchmark for social media usage in the federal community prior to the Obama administration defining its policy towards Web 2.0 technologies in the fall of 2009.
